Bring what you need
Photo ID, your BC Services Card (or applicable provincial health card), and any relevant referral letters, imaging, or past reports.
Arrive a few minutes early
This gives you time to settle in before your appointment.
Before Your Visit
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first appointment includes a thorough assessment with your provider, a discussion of your goals, and, where relevant, coordination with other MoTish practitioners involved in your care.
Insurance & Billing
Physician visits are covered by MSP for eligible BC residents. Physiotherapy, massage therapy and counselling are often covered by extended health benefits, and physiotherapy may also be covered through ICBC or WorkSafeBC claims.
Not sure what your plan covers?
Call your insurance provider before your first visit and ask about coverage for physiotherapy, massage therapy (RMT), or counselling (RCC), including your annual maximum and any referral requirements
